Accreditation for 44th Polish Film Festiwal is a personalized identification card which entitles its holder to:

· enter film screenings held on the Large Stage in the Festival Centre situated in the Musical Theatre (prior online seat reservations required) as well as film screenings in:

- cinema Helios (Riviera Shopping Center)

- Consulate of Culture

- City Theatre Gdynia

- Chamber and New Stage of Musical Theatre

- The Museum of the Polish Navy in Gdynia


· receive a Festival’s packet containing the Festival catalogue and other marketing materials (all types of accreditation),

· participate in the Festival accompanying events, with the exception of closed events with personal invitations required for participation (all types of accreditation),

· enter press screenings (media accreditation),

· enter press conferences (media accreditations; other type of accreditation – according to availability).


Accreditation Types

INDUSTRY ACCREDITATION - Granted to representatives of film industry such as producers, distributors, to representatives of film institutions, film events and other individuals who are professionally involved in film industry in Poland or abroad.

MEDIA ACCREDITATION - Granted to representatives of mass media (radio, press, television, Internet) as well as press photographers.

OBSERVER’S ACCREDITATION - Granted to individuals who are not professionally involved in film and/or media industries.


Accreditation sale

Accreditation applications are submitted online via www.system.festiwalgdynia.pl

The accreditation sale starts at 1st July 2019. 


Accreditation price 

· The price of the accreditation is PLN 350

· Students of Polish film schools cooperating with Gdynia Film Festival (Lodz Film School, Krzysztof Kieślowski Faculty of Radio and Television University of Silesia in Katowice, Wajda School, Academy of Film and Television, Warsaw Film School, Gdynia Film School) from July 2019 are entitled to purchase an accreditation at a special price of PLN 100 (valid student card required).

· Members of the Association of Polish Filmmakers holding a valid and stamped membership card receive accreditation for free.

· Accreditation application will be confirmed by e-mail within 4 days.

· Payment for accreditation must be made within 72 hours of application confirmation via the online payment option available on the website (DotPay payment) or via online bank transfer to the Organizer’s banking account.

· Accreditation purchase will be confirmed by e-mail within 4 days of its booking on the Organizer’s banking account.

· Accreditation is personalized, which means it is issued based on the first name and the last name specified in the application.

· To place an accreditation order, all required fields must be filled in and a recent portrait photo of a maximum size of 2 Mb and minimum proportions of 400x400 pixels must be enclosed in png, gif or JPG format. The photo will be used to identify the owner of the accreditation.

· The Organizer reserves the right to conclude accreditation sale at any time without cause.

· The Organizer does not accept returns of purchased accreditation.


Accreditation Collection

· Purchased accreditation may be collected only by the individual in whose name the accreditation was ordered.

· Accreditation may be collected upon presentation of an ID card or any other document with a photo.

· Accreditation may be collected starting 15th September 2019 (from 3 p.m.) in the Festival Centre in the Musical Theatre (pl. Grunwaldzki 1, Gdynia).

· The Festival does not issue duplicates of accreditation. Exceptions are made for justified cases.


Rules for Accreditation Use at the Festival

· All types of accreditation entitle their holders to participate in all film screenings held on the Large Stage in the Festival Centre in the Musical Theatre in Gdynia, prior to which the holder is required to make online seat reservations.

· Accreditation entitles its holder to enter all film screenings for audience held in cinema Helios (Riviera Shopping Center); Consulate of Culture; City Theatre Gdynia; Chamber and New Stage of Musical Theatre; The Museum of the Polish Navy in Gdynia

· Theatre prior to which the holder is required to make online seat reservations.

· All types of accreditation are programmed for 34 points (1 point corresponds to 1 film screening).

· Accreditation does not entitle its holder to make seat reservations for the Festival Opening and Closing Ceremonies.

· Media accreditation entitles its holder to enter press screenings prior to which the holder is required to make online seat reservations.

· Industry and observer accreditations entitle their holders to enter press conferences.

· Accreditation holder may reserve no more than one seat for a film screening held in Multikino, Gdynia Film Centre and on the Large and New Stage of the Musical Theatre scheduled for a given screening time. Seat reservations for film screenings can be made from 8:30 a.m. on the day preceding the screening until the screening time. The first day of the Festival is an exception - seat reservations can be made on Monday, 16th September at 8:30 a.m.

· Accreditation holder may make a seat reservation for no more than one film screening in Multikino, Gdynia Film Centre and on the Large and New Stage of the Musical Theatre within each screening time period (the so-called screening block) on any given day. A screening block includes screenings which start within no more than 30 minutes of one another (e.g. 9:45 a.m., 10:00 a.m. and 10:15 a.m.).

· Accreditation is supplied with a bar code for identification and reservation verification purposes; permanent staff equipped with bar code readers will work shifts at the entrances to screening rooms in cinema Helios (Riviera Shopping Center); Consulate of Culture; City Theatre Gdynia; Chamber and New Stage of Musical Theatre; The Museum of the Polish Navy in Gdynia and Large, New Stage of the Musical Theatre. Accreditation verification will be carried out at every entrance to the Musical Theatre in Gdynia.

· Failure to cancel reservation up to 15 minutes prior to screening time and failure to attend a film screening held in cinema Helios (Riviera Shopping Center); Consulate of Culture; City Theatre Gdynia; Large, Chamber and New Stage of Musical Theatre; The Museum of the Polish Navy in Gdynia will automatically result in deduction of 4 points from the Festival pass. 


FAQ 

When can I purchase accreditation online?

You may purchase accreditation starting at 1st July 2018th.


Can I purchase accreditation during the Festival?

You may not purchase accreditation during the Festival. After accreditation sale is over, only passes and tickets for single screenings will be available for sale.


What is the cost of accreditation?

There are 3 types of accreditation:

What does accreditation entitle to?

All types of accreditations entitle their holders to participate in all film screenings held on the Large Stage in the Festival Centre in the Musical Theatre (online seat reservations are required) and also to participate in all film screenings held in cinema Helios (Riviera Shopping Center); Consulate of Culture; City Theatre Gdynia; Large, Chamber and New Stage of Musical Theatre; The Museum of the Polish Navy for which online seat reservations are required.

All types of accreditation are programmed for 34 points (1 point corresponds to 1 film screening), therefore they entitle their holders to participation in 30 screenings held in cinema Helios (Riviera Shopping Center); Consulate of Culture; City Theatre Gdynia; Large, Chamber and New Stage of Musical Theatre; The Museum of the Polish Navy (this is the maximum possible number of film screenings you can attend: 6 festival days x 5 screenings per day) provided prior seat reservation is made for a chosen screening. 

Additional 4 points serve as a reserve which can be used in case of point loss caused by failure to attend a screening or by failure to cancel a reservation. Please, be informed that every unclaimed reservation causes loss of 4 points deducted from your account. Therefore, if such situation takes place repeatedly, there is a risk of running out of points before watching all planned screenings. All reservations may be cancelled up to 15 minutes prior to screening time.

Moreover, accreditation entitles its holder to participation in the Festival accompanying events, with the exception of closed events with personal invitations required for participation.

The Organizer will provide every accredited individual with a Festival’s packet containing the Festival catalogue and other marketing materials. 
 

When can I start making reservations for screenings?

Reservations for screenings held cinema Helios (Riviera Shopping Center); Consulate of Culture; City Theatre Gdynia; Large, Chamber and New Stage of Musical Theatre; The Museum of the Polish Navy can be made from 08:30 a.m. on the day preceding the screening until the beginning of the screening. For example, reservation for the screening scheduled for 20th September can be made from 08:30 a.m. on 19th September. The first day of the festival is an exception: 16th September.

Online reservation system for film screenings scheduled for 16th September will be launched the same day at 08:30 a.m. Please, be informed that a holder of one accreditation can make maximum one seat reservation for a particular film screening. Moreover, accredited individuals may not make reservations for screenings held at similar time on the same day (e.g. on 19th September, one film starts at 02:00 p.m. and another one at 02:15 p.m., therefore it is not possible to make reservations for both screenings). 


What can I do if I want to see a different film (other than previously planned)?

In case the change of plans occurs in cinema Helios (Riviera Shopping Center); Consulate of Culture; City Theatre Gdynia; Large, Chamber and New Stage of Musical Theatre; The Museum of the Polish Navy, you should cancel the previous reservation and make a new one. This can be done up to 15 minutes prior to screening time. After this time any cancellation or change of reservation will be impossible. If a reservation is not cancelled and an individual does not attend a screening, 4 points will be deducted from the individual’s accreditation account. For this reason, cancellation of unclaimed reservations is strongly recommended.


Where can I cancel a reservation?

Reservations can be cancelled in all festival venues (the cinema Helios (Riviera Shopping Center); Consulate of Culture; City Theatre Gdynia; Musical Theatre; The Museum of the Polish Navy) as well as in Hotel Mercure Gdynia Centre (ex Hotel Gdynia). All the locations will be equipped with computer stations with Internet access, prepared for such proceedings. In addition, online reservation application with cancellation option can be accessed from any computer or any other portable device with Internet access.
 

Can I transfer my accreditation to another person?

Accreditation cannot be transferred to other individuals. It is personalized for the person who purchases it. All accreditations include such information as the holder’s first name, last name and a photo. 
 

How do I enclose the photo in accreditation?

Applying for accreditation (first, please register on our website www.system.festiwalgdynia.pl), after you complete all the information, you will find a button Add Photo. A photo is attached the same way as a file (attachment) is attached to an e-mail. It will be attached directly on the panel.


What are the requirements for photos enclosed in accreditation orders?

The enclosed photo should be a recent portrait photo with the file size of no more than 2 Mb, minimum proportions of 400 pixels x 400 pixels, in png, gif or jpg format. The photo will be used for identification of the accreditation holder. Failure to provide any photo or a photo allowing for clear identification of the accreditation holder my result in cancellation of the order. 
 

When and where can I collect my accreditation?

Accreditation can be collected starting 15th September 2019 (3 p.m.) in the Festival Reception located in the right wing of the Musical Theatre in Gdynia (entrance from Plac Grunwaldzki) upon presentation of an ID card or any other document with a photo.
