Competition films at the 45th PFF

Fourteen films will compete for the Golden and Silver Lions in the Main Competition of the 45th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia. We also announce the titles that will take part in the Microbudget Films Competition and the Short Films Competition.

We present the results of the festival selection.

MAIN COMPETITION of the 45th Polish Film Festival

Fourteen films qualified for the Main Competition of the 45th Polish Film Festival. They include 4 full-length directorial debuts and 6 second films.

Pursuant to the regulations of the 45th PFF, 12 films were selected for the Main Competition by the Artistic Director, Tomasz Kolankiewicz. He established the Selection Team as an advisory body, which included: film director professor Janusz Majewski, culture expert, DSc Iwona Kurz and film critics Małgorzata Sadowska and Krzysztof Kwiatkowski. Additionally, the Organizing Committee included 2 films in the Competition.

After reviewing the list of films selected by the Artistic Director, the Organizing Committee added the following films to the Main Competition:

SHORT FILMS COMPETITION 45th PFF

27 films produced by film schools, independent producers, and within the “30 minutes” program of the Munk Studio – Polish Filmmakers Association, have qualified for the Short Films Competition of the 45th Polish Film Festival,.

The selection of films for the Short Films Competition was also made by the Artistic Director, supported by the recommendation of advisers appointed by him. The Two-Person Qualification Team was composed of: film critic Adriana Prodeus and cinema historian Maciej Gil.
