43rd PFF Opening Films: “The Butler” and “Masterclass”
A screening of the most recent film by Filip Bajon, “The Butler”, qualified for the Main Competition, will open the 43rd Polish Film Festival on 17th September 2018 at 7.00 p.m. The participants of the official opening in the Musical Theatre in Gdynia will also see a few minutes long animation entitled “Masterclass”, produced by the Fine Arts Academy in Krakow.

The film programme of the 43rd Polish Film Festival is in total 50 films starting in the Main Competition, the Visions Apart Competition and the Short Film Competition but also numerous out-of-competition sections. They include films awarded at the Krakow Film Festival.

The programme of the 43rd Polish Film Festival includes films particularly related to the host city of the most important meeting of the people of the Polish cinematography.
Films in the Main Competition and the Visions Apart Competition of the 43rd Polish Film Festival
Sixteen full-length feature films have been accepted for the Main Competition of the 43rd PFF. They will compete over the Golden Lions and Silver Lions as well as other competition and out-of-competition awards. In the Visions Apart Competition, where the Golden Claw is awarded, seven films have been accepted.
26 titles in the Short Film Competition of the 43rd Polish Film Festival
We already know the results of the selection for the Short Film Competition of the 43rd Polish Film Festival in Gdynia. 26 films, produced by film schools and numerous producers, including as part of the “30 minutes” project made by the Munk Studio of the Polish Filmmakers Association, have been admitted.

On Monday, 2nd July 2018, the sale of accreditation for the 43rd Polish Film Festival in Gdynia begins. The cost of accreditation is PLN 320 during the whole sale period.
